AgrAbility Unlimited Illinois is proud to announce Doug Gucker as the January 2019 Ambassador of the Month!
AgrAbility Ambassadors are volunteer partners who work to help share the mission of the organization with the community and the support it can provide for local farmers.
Doug is a newer member of the AgrAbility team, having started representing Piatt County in early 2018. He is the Local Food Systems and Small Farms Extension Educator at the University of Illinois Extension and has a passion for helping agricultural professionals maintain success. We are extremely grateful that he has continued his support of the farming community as a partner of the AgrAbility program.
Doug recently said that his favorite part about being a part of the AgrAbility team is “spreading the word about the AgrAbility program and how it can help local farmers who have disabilities.”
We are enthusiastic to have Doug as a new member of the Ambassador team who has already demonstrated his passion for the AgrAbility program!
Doug’s Favorite Moment as an AgrAbility Ambassador: “Seeing the joy in a person’s face when they hear that there is a group in Illinois that helps farmers to find a solution to their disability needs.”
Our staff is happy to honor Doug’s commitment to the organization as featuring him as Ambassador of the Month. We are happy and proud to have Doug as a part of our team!
AgrAbility’s Mission Statement is: “A program of the University of Illinois Extension, in collaboration with Illinois Assistive Technology Program and the Community Health Partnership, AgrAbility Unlimited of Illinois promotes independence in agriculture to farmers with disabilities and their families.”
